Peter Reeves
Designer Information...
Pete came to Plymouth to serve in the Royal Navy, but an accident at sea left him with a serious back injury. Whilst he was recovering, the Navy found alternative employment for Pete in a dental laboratory and it was there that he first picked up the tools which were to form the basis of his future career as a designer and maker of jewellery. After being discharged from the Navy on medical grounds he embarked on a course in Jewellery Design Crafts at Plymouth College of Art and Design, he also trained as a goldsmith and took a further course in gemmology at the College. Pete has since been made a member of the Guild of Master Craftsman and become a governor of the college at which he trained. He is now director of the arts collective from where he now works in Plympton. Pete is happy to consider commissioned work.
